Duck Duck Goose! is a converted farm barn in Little Bentley
Located in a quiet village on the Essex / Suffolk border, this converted rustic barn is a stylish family friendly bolthole. Based on a working farm within easy reach of the picturesque Stour valley, the barn is perfect for family stays in need of space, tranquil countryside adventures and comes with oodles of exploration and play for the kids whilst parents unwind.
Set up to sleep 4, extra beds / cot can be provided to sleep a maximum of 6.
Duck Duck Goose was closed due to the COVID-19 and has unfortunately not been able to reopen, but with the large space already set up with children in mind, this conversion to a family stay space seemed to make perfect sense. The wooden play area, large open plan living makes it easier to occupy children and with it's rustic feel and open space parents can relax without worrying about children knocking over things or running about.
The barn space celebrates the original ethos of the cafe - reusing and upcycling as much as possible, with furniture and fittings made from old scaffold boards, items found on the farm or left from the previous potters and artists who occupied the building. The finish has a scandi feel hit home with old beams and rustic charm.
Duck Duck Goose is situated 1 and 1/2 hours from London. 25 minutes from Walton-on-sea where the kids can search for fossilised shark's teeth, 10 minutes from the Dedham Vale and the Stour Valley Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty with John Constable's famous Flatford and Dedham on your doorstep. Colchester, the former capital of roman Britain is just 10 minutes up the road with it's Norman castle to visit, and original roman walls. With picturesque Suffolk villages and river pubs to visit, the barn provides the perfect location for exploring this area of East Anglia.
With travel on hold this year, this unique gem is the perfect escape for your family to reset, come rain or shine.
